The homeowners wanted a bathroom that would transport them a world away and give them a spa-like experience at home. In order to deliver, the old shower and tiles were removed, and the space was reframed to accommodate a large soaker tub. Heated floors were installed, creating a gentle warmth underfoot. To brighten up the space, glossy light grey ceramic floor tiles were laid on the main floor area, while white subway tiles were chosen to surround the soaker tub. The existing toilet was removed and replaced with a new one shielded from view behind a wall. To complete the look, the walls were painted in soft grays and whites. The end result is a calming, serene space grounded in a muted color palette that easily reflects light.
